2-Week Seatbelt Crackdown Starts Monday in Washington Twp.
Annual 'Click It or Ticket' campaign brings extra patrols to town.
Washington Township Police will have extra patrols on the road to crack down on seatbelt violators during the final two weeks of May as part of a national initiative.
Thanks to a $4,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Highway Traffic Safety for the annual Click It or Ticket campaign, Washington Township police will have extra patrols on the road from Monday, May 18 to Sunday, May 31.
The extra visibility and patrols isn’t just for seatbelt violations, either. Police will still be making the same stops conducted during routine patrols.
