4 DWI Arrests Made In Long Valley For August: Police Blotter
The Washington Township Police Department made four arrests for driving while intoxicated in the township, according to the blotter.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — In recent weeks, Long Valley has seen four DWI arrests. The following information was compiled from Washington Township police department records.
On Aug. 8, a Washington Township Patrol Officer observed a traffic violation and stopped a vehicle on Route 46 West. Following further investigation, the Mansfield driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated while under the legal drinking age. The driver was taken back to police headquarters, where he was processed and given a court date in Washington Township Municipal Court.
On Aug. 27 on US Highway Route 46, a Patrol Officer conducted a motor vehicle stop for multiple moving violations. The officer noticed signs of impairment from alcohol use while speaking with the driver. Following further investigation, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The driver was later processed and released to a responsible party with a future court date in Washington Township Municipal Court.

On Aug. 27, at 9 p.m., a Patrol Officer investigating a car crash arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated. The driver was detained and handed over to a responsible adult. The driver will appear in Washington Township Municipal Court in the near future.
