50,768 Calls For Long Valley Police In 2016

LONG VALLEY, NJ— Over the course of 2016, Washington Township Police were kept busy, with 50,768 phone calls for service or incidents. That works out to 139 calls per day.

All of these calls came from Washington Township or Califon Borough.

Overall, police officers drove 318,900 miles in the line of duty-- that's the equivalent of driving around the equator nearly 13 times!

4,122 motor vehicle complaints and 7,620 motor vehicle warnings being issued to drivers during the year. In total, 287 arrests were made:

• 39: Driving While Intoxicated
• 115: Controlled Dangerous Substances
• 66: Warrant Arrests
• 67: Other criminal/investigatory arrests
