Attempted Bank Burglary Thursday Morning: Mount Olive Police
The burglars used a blow torch to enter the ATM, police said.
MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — Burglars used blow torches to break into a TD Bank ATM early Thursday morning, Mount Olive police said.
Just before 3 a.m. on Thursday, the Route 46 TD Bank's alarm system alerted police that multiple people were trying to break into the bank. When police arrived they found smoke in the ATM area.
Police said three people wearing masks and hoods entered the bank and used a blow torch-like device to get into the ATM machine. They fled by SUV shortly before police got there.
