Blue Police Cars Make Their Final Rounds In Long Valley

As of October, no more blue patrol cars are on the streets.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — It's the end of an era: as of this October, no more blue police cars will patrol the streets of Long Valley.

The blue Ford Crown Victorias stood out on the streets as the only blue patrol cars in the area. After Ford discontinued the car, the Washington Township Police Department was unable to replace them, switching over to the Chevy Caprice.

The department's last blue car made its final rounds at the end of September, police confirmed to Patch.

This won't be the only change in police cars locals might spot in Long Valley. The Chevy Caprice was also discontinued, forcing the department to replace aging Caprices with the Chevy Tahoe. Both of those cars are black.
