Decision Time!

Seniors are starting to feel the pressure to make their final decisions on which college they will be attending next year.

April is the time when seniors have to make their final college decisions since most colleges require deposits by May 1 or early May. Many students went to take a final visit to their colleges during Spring Break and are making pro/con lists
about each school on their list. Around school, all of the talk is “did you
decide on a college yet?!” Luckily for me, I can now answer this question with
a big “YES!”

I was one of those students touring colleges again on Spring
Break. I saw both Kutztown University and Bloomsburg University. I walked
around campus, talked to students and professors, and learned more about my
intended major, mass communications and journalism. After the two visits, I was
expecting to have a hard decision to make, however, much to my surprise, there
was a clear winner. I liked one much more than the other, so I sent in my
deposit to Bloomsburg University as soon as I got home from the visits! It is
really an amazing feeling to say “I’m going to Bloomsburg next year” when
people ask me about college instead of “I’m undecided”. Now I have found the
Bloomsburg Class of 2016 facebook page and have already started to make
friends!

It is nice to know which school I am going to and makes fall seem that
much closer, which is scary and exciting at the same time. The senior class is
starting to realize that the end of the school year and the beginning of a new
life is getting close and we are cherishing the time we have together as a
class before we all go off to different directions and different lives.
