Holiday Happenings
An exciting time for the students at WMC is always the time leading up to winter break.
Finally the highly anticipated week off from school is here - winter break! Students celebrate the holidays, visit family and spend time with friends. The last day before break is a half day and most teachers spend classes watching holiday movies or something festive in the short class periods. Some teachers make snowflakes and may even give out candy canes. There is always a happy and excited energy in the school as students exchange gifts with friends and enjoy their last school day of the 2011 year, looking forward to the break.
Also around this time of year, seniors are starting to hear back from colleges! Around school, people are hearing if they got accepted, deferred, or denied from their colleges and are starting to seriously think about where they are going to go. So far, I have been accepted to Bloomsburg University and am still waiting to hear back from Kutztown University. It is such a good feeling to finally be accepted into a school and know that you are going somewhere. It is a great holiday present!
Winter break is an exciting time for both students and teachers! It is now time for a whole week off and a whole lot of celebrating before school starts again in the new year.
