At tonight’s Freeholders meeting Greg Foresbrey and I presented concerns about the lack of crosswalks on county roads, specifically on county road 182—Schooley’s Mountain Road, linking the eastern portions of the Columbia Trail and the Long Valley Green Market. We were told this project was underway(finally!) and weather permitting, would be finished within the next few days. Following our presentation and after the meeting adjournment, we met with Freeholders and public attendees who expressed their support for this effort. Little victories lead to bigger ones. I would like to see our township become a host site for future Freeholder meetings. It would allow county officials the opportunity to see western Morris County and us to voice our issues to them in our own venue.
