I want to thank the man in the pick up truck and the young woman in an SUV who"corralled" my two outdoor dogs this afternoon. I was going out the door to walk to a local business and I saw a truck and an SUV stopped on the street outside my home. A quick glance showed the man was holding onto a couple of dogs, and I started to walk over to see if he needed any help. Then I realized they were my dogs and I ran over to find out what was happening. The man had the dogs on leashes and said he found them down the street. I couldn't believe that my 13 year old male Golden could even figure out how to get out of his fenced in back yard. I'm a little bit more suspicious of our eight year old female Shepard mix as she is light years smarter than the Golden. I thanked both of their "rescuers" and got the dogs into the house. I did not get the Good Neighbors names, but I hope they see, or someone mentions this blog to them.
P.S. I considered asking to have KOBE the town K-9 officer brought over to interrogate the culprits re their escape, but the Golden claimed he knew nothing (very plausible) and the Shepard wouldn't talk without her lawyer present.
