Washington Township Annual Flu Clinic Got A Good Turn Out

Washington Township held it's Annual Flu Clinic Oct. 12 and still has shots available.

Washington Township's Health Department conducted their annual Flu Shot Clinic on Wednesday Oct. 12 at the Municipal Building. 155 people got their annual flu shot at the clinic. The event was well organized as we have come to expect, and I was in, "pinned", and out in less than 5 minutes.

The staff had a well laid out area and plenty of room. With Dorothy Walter directing residents as they came through the door, and Public Health Nurse Gail Johnson and two other medical personnel administering the shots, the "line" was short and fast moving. Senior citizens, Emergency Service Personnel, Police officers and other residents all took advantage of the convenient location, and friendly staff.

I am one of those "needle phobic" males and always joke with the staff about using the baby size needles for me. The Federal Health agency finally authorized the "thinner" needles last year, so the shot is truly painless. My only complaint was that they did not get a Bugs Bunny band aid to put on my arm. If I am brave and get my shot without crying, I should get a nice band aid.
