Washington Township Public Library Adds New E-Book Service
KINDLE e-book download service is now available at the Washington Township Public Library.
Washington Township's Public Library has added Amazon's KINDLE e-book downloads to the list of services available to patrons of the Library. Amazon had ignored the opportunity to offer the download service through libraries while they decided how it would impact their bottom line. Their competition in the form of the NOOK e-book reader has been available from libraries for quite a while.
You can now go to the Library website for instructions on how to use the new service. It's great if you like to take books along on trips, or are running out of space in the house to store all your books.A second service is free copies of Book Page new book "newspaper". It contains information about new books and a brief synopsis of some of the new books. A good way to keep up to-date on what is being published.
Have you visited the Library web page recently? There are book clubs, presentations, speakers and activities for all ages. Whether history, health, job search, cooking, gardening, financial, school research, senior citizen issues or other topics of interest to you there will be a program or activity for members of your family. Finally, the Library is conducting a Food for Fines program starting Sept. 26. If you have fines for overdue books, you can bring food items to the Library to be donated to the local interfaith food pantry.
