Who's The Most Likely To Be Late For Class?
Senior Superlatives are a fun way for seniors to reflect on their past four years of high school.
Best dressed? Best hair? Hardest to forget? This week, seniors are electing their classmates for Senior Superlatives, different titles given to seniors every year, which are eventually voted on and put in the yearbook. This is a tradition that has been at West Morris for many years. It allows the student body to reflect upon their past 4 years and think about their classmates in different ways. While choosing the names I would write down, I went through the yearbook and looked at all of my classmates pictures and names while trying to decide which ones I would elect to get a title. It was a nice way to think about the people I had been going to school with for years and to reflect on my high school journey. Not to mention, it’s fun seeing the different categories and choosing who to elect!
Along with voting for superlatives, seniors have to write a list of activities they
have been involved in, a short message and special quote to be put by their picture in the yearbook. This is always a nice way to thank family and friends or to leave a message that can forever be seen by your name in the yearbook! In addition, seniors have the option of leaving a “Last Will and Testament”, “Remember When” and “What if…” Remember When is where we can recall a funny moment that happened during high school. What if is where we can wonder how things would be if something was different at school. Last Will and Testament is where we can leave something to an underclassman. Usually these all revolve around inside jokes among students. When reading these in the yearbook later this year, we will all be able to look back and remember the great times we have had at this school with the great people who were our classmates.
