This is not a religious piece…it is a matter of thought.
This week, two of my friends suffered significant losses. One of my old friends from high school sadly lost her mom; another very dear friend lost her sister.
I pray daily. Pretty much about the usual….keep my family safe and healthy, when seeing a tragedy on the news…I pray there are survivors, let my dog come back safely because he took off (my kids don’t know how to close the door), I want to pay my mortgage, etc.

It occurred to me on this Sunday morning as I was praying that my prayers are very often prayers of HELP! I think practicing prayers of gratitude are equally as important and I need to exercise that more.
I am not exactly religious but more “spiritual” (I know it sounds hokey but its true). I don’t care if you pray to God, Buddha, Bob Marley or a cabbage…I felt very selfish that all I pray about is need rather than gratitude for all of the good things, people, etc., in my life.

My point is….let’s look at the good stuff and be grateful rather than focusing on all of the wrongs in our world that jade us.
I know it is a cliché but it’s true...life is too short. We need to keep everything we have (and what we seemingly don’t have) in perspective.
And with that said...I am GRATEFUL for this beautiful Sunday morning! Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all!
