WMC Girls' Varsity Tennis - A Journey Cut Short

West Morris Central competed in Round 2 of the 2011 New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) tennis tournament at Warren Hills' immaculate tennis facility on Tueday, Oct. 11.

Entering this round, the Wolfpack, seeded 5th, was a slight underdog against the No. 4 Warren Hills in NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group 3.  At one point, it appeared that an upset was in the making when the Wolfpack led the Blue Streaks 2-0.  Unfortunately, that lead was short-lived and the seeding order did work its logic this day. The Wolfpack lost the tight match 2-3.

Overall, it was a competitive but clean match. Congratulations to the Blue Streaks which will face Millburn, the No. 1 seed on Oct. 13.
