W.T. Library Has Some Activities You Might Not Be Aware of

You can do more than check out books at your Washington Township Public Library.

Did you know that you can recycle cell phones and eyeglasses, donate to the W.T. Interfaith Food Pantry, download books to your KINDLE e-book reader and attend a presentation about the Civil War by a very knowledgeable speaker all in a visit to one place? YOUR WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY!

Do you have cell phones and old eyeglasses around the house that you keep meaning to donate or recycle but keep forgetting to get around to it?

Cell phones can be recycled at the Library as part of a Boy Scout project. The collection box is adjacent to the circulation desk. Old eyeglasses can be recycled as part of a Lions Club project. The collection box is adjacent to the circulation desk.

You only have a few more days to take advantage of the Library Food for Fines program at the Library. Bring non-perishable food items to the Library and you can get up to $5.00 in fines "forgiven". All donated items go to the Washington Township Interfaith Food Pantry (ICOWTA). Sunday Oct. 9 is the last day to make a donation.

KINDLE e-book downloads are now available at the Library. Amazon has finally given in and is allowing downloads of their e-books at public libraries in Morris County. Now you can use KINDLE or NOOK e-book readers to take many popular books with you as you travel or go on vacation.
