Old Turnpike bridge deck replacement begins around August 17.

A bridge repair in Washington Township beginning this month will create a months-long closure and detour, local police announced.

The Old Turnpike Road bridge near the intersection of Route 57 will be closed for repairs beginning on or around August 17, Lt. Doug Compton said. The project is being completed by Warren County Engineering and is expected to be re-opened on or about December 15, 2015, Compton said.
