Car Crash Leads To Pot Arrest In Long Valley: Police

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A two car crash in Long Valley Monday night led to two pot arrests, Washington Township Police said in a statement.

The two car crash happened at 9:35 p.m. on Schooley's Mountain Road near Camp Washington Road. During an investigation, police said they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia on both the driver and the passenger.

The driver, Kevin Curry, 22, from Hempstead, New York, was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and issued motor vehicle complaints for possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, careless driving, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain lane.

The passenger, 22-year-old Krystal Stackhouse, of Hempstead, New York, was charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were released with upcoming court dates.
