Classic Car Driver Killed In Morris County Crash
It was one of two deadly crashes on Route 287 Saturday morning.

PEQUANNOCK, NJ — A New Milford man driving a classic car was killed on Route 287 in Morris County Saturday morning, police told media outlets.
Joseph Bevilacqua, 66, was driving a 1967 MG in Pequannock when he was rear ended on Route 287 south, police said.
The crash happened at 8:17 a.m. at mile-marker 52 on I-287 involving two vehicles, the 1967 MG and a Nissan Sentra. The Nissan struck the MG in the rear on the southbound side, causing both to run off the runway, police said.

The MG overturned and the Nissan hit several trees. The driver of the MG was pronounced dead of the scene. A passenger in the MG and the driver of the Nissan were transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
The cause is under investigation, and two left lanes were closed for four and a half hours following the crash.

It was one of two deadly accidents in Route 287 on Saturday. Later that morning, a crash in Bedminster killed one and injured another.
