Cops: Long Valley Man Had Heroin, Needles on Schooley's Mountain

A Long Valley man was arrested Saturday after police say he had heroin and drug paraphernalia in plain view inside his vehicle.

Officer Adam Feichter made a motor vehicle stop on Pleasant Grove Road just after 1 p.m. Saturday, Lt. Dough Compton said. Feichter spoke with the driver, Jeffrey Warrick, 26, and noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the car, Compton said.

An investigation uncovered heroin and several hypodermic needles inside the vehicle, Compton said, and lead to Warrick’s arrest.

The Long Valley man was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with failure to keep right and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Warrick was arrested in June in Hackettstown for possession of a hypodermic needle, according to Hackettstown Police. Warrick has been arrested multiple other times, including possession of heroin and cocaine back in 2010, and in connection with two car thefts in 2011, according to newjerseyhills.com. Both incidents occurred in Long Valley.
