Cops: Trio Tried Using Stolen Credit Cards to Buy Gift Cards From Target
Three men from New York were jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail each, police report.

Three men from New York were arrested Tuesday night and jailed in Morris County after allegedly trying to use stolen credit cards to make purchases at the Target department store in Washington Township.
At 8:16 p.m. Officer Robert Brobst responded to the store on Route 46 for a report of several subjects attempting to use fraudulent credit cards to purchase items, Lt. Doug Compton said.
Brobst and Cpl. Michael Hade arrived on the scene and located three men in the parking lot attempting to leave in a vehicle, Compton said.

During an investigation it was determined Douglas Desmond, 22, of Brooklyn, New York; Michael Anderson, 19, of Brooklyn, New York; and Michael Dixon, 20, of New York, New York were allegedly using “several” stolen credit cards to make purchases, specifically gift cards, Compton said.
During the investigation, Anderson was also found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Compton said.

Anderson was charged with conspiracy to commit credit card fraud, fraudulent use of a credit card, theft of credit cards, possession of controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Desmond was charged with conspiracy to commit credit card fraud, fraudulent use of a credit card, theft of a credit card and obstruction for providing a false name to officers.
Dixon was charged with conspiracy to commit credit card fraud, fraudulent use of a credit card, and theft of a credit card.
All three were lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail each.
