Drugs, DWI: Washington Township Police Blotter

Police made multiple arrests this holiday weekend. Read about them here.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Between Dec. 28 and Jan. 1, Washington Township police made multiple arrests, including for drugs and driving while intoxicated. Read about their arrests here, as written by police:

On December 28, 2017 at 1:15 p.m., Patrol Officer Jason Hensley conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 46 East for a motor vehicle violation. Upon speaking with driver Marzouk Latoundji, PO Hensley detected the odor of Marijuana emanating from within the vehicle. A subsequent investigation by PO Hensley revealed that Mr. Latoundji was in Possession of Marijuana. Mr. Latoundji was placed under arrest and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Mr. Latoundji was issued a criminal complaint for Possession of Marijuana (under 50 grams) along with a motor vehicle complaint for failure to maintain lane. Mr. Latoundji was later released with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court.

On December 30, 2017 at 2:42 a.m., Patrol Officer Michael Thompson conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 46 for a motor vehicle violation. Upon speaking with the driver Korina Roldan, PO Thompson detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A subsequent investigation by PO Thompson found Ms. Roldan was in possession of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia. Ms. Roldan was placed under arrest and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Ms. Roldan was issued a criminal complaint for possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Roldan was also issued a motor vehicle complaint for speeding. Ms. Roldan was later released with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court.

On December 31, 2017 at 12:21 a.m., Sgt. Michael Hade conducted a motor vehicle stop on East Springtown Road for a motor vehicle violation. Upon speaking to the driver, Jacob Fabris and front seat passenger Shawn Polson, Sgt. Hade detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A subsequent investigation by Sgt. Hade found that Mr. Fabris and Mr. Polson were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Mr. Fabris was issued a criminal complaint for possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Fabris was also issued a motor vehicle complaint for failure to observe a traffic signal device. Mr. Polson was a criminal complaint for possession of marijuana (under 50 grams). Both subjects were later released with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court.

On December 31, 2017 at 10:14 p.m., Hrs, Patrol Officer Derek Heymer conducted a motor vehicle stop on North Four Bridges Road for a motor vehicle violation. Upon speaking with the driver, PO Heymer viewed an open bottle of vodka in plain view. A subsequent investigation by PO Heymer found that none of the occupants were of legal age to possess alcohol and also located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. It was determined by PO Heymer that the rear seat passenger Madison McCrone was responsible for the items found. Ms. McCrone was placed under arrest and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Ms. McCrone was issued a criminal complaint for possession of marijuana (under 50 grams), possession of drug paraphernalia along with possession of an alcoholic beverage under the legal age. Ms. McCrone was later released with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. The driver of the vehicle was issued a motor vehicle complaint for maintenance of lamps and released from the scene.

On January 1, 2018 at 1:41 a.m., Patrol Officer Derek Heymer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Brock Lane (Mt Olive Township) for a motor vehicle violation which occurred on Drakestown Road. Upon speaking with the driver Mazen M. Alnaser, PO Heymer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. A subsequent investigation by PO Heymer found that Mr. Alnaser was under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Alnaser was placed under arrest and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters. The front seat passenger Mayra Naula, was found to be under the influence of alcohol under the legal age, she was placed under arrest also and transported to Washington Township Police Headquarters.

Mr. Alnaser was issued motor vehicle complaints for DWI, Speeding, Reckless Driving, Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle, Obstructed View, Failure to Maintain a Lane and Refusal to Provide Breath Samples. While at headquarters Mr. Alnaser intentionally urinated on the floor of the Processing Room and was issued a Criminal Complaint for Criminal Mischief. Ms. Naula was issued a criminal complaint for being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage under the legal age and released with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. Mr. Alnaser was later released to a responsible adult with a pending court date in Washington Township Municipal Court.
