Drunk Driver Tried To Strike Cop With 2x4: Washington Twp. Police
Tobie Dimannio-Hollien was driving without a license when she was stopped, police said.
LONG VALLEY, NJ - A 43-year-old Budd Lake woman was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated and attempted aggravated assault after an altercation with police on Saturday.
According to police, Detective Derek Heymer responded to a radio call for the report of a vehicle pulled off on the shoulder of Naughright Road which was possibly disabled.
Heymer arrived on scene and spoke to the driver, Tobie Dimannio-Hollien, who told him she had run out of gas, police said. While speaking with Dimannio-Hollien, Heymer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming off of her breath and she as showing obvious signs of intoxication, police said.

Heymer observed her stumbling around and attempting to enter the back seat of her vehicle and when he told her she was under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated when she reached into the back seat of her vehicle and retrieved a 2X4 and attempted to swing it at him, police said.
Heymer deflected the piece of wood out of Dimannio-Hollien’s hand and placed her under arrest, police said.
