Empty Home Damaged By Pair With Hammers: WTPD

An empty Krista Court home was damaged by two people with demolition bars and hammers, police said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Four people were issued criminal complaints after breaking into a vacant home and damaging it, Washington Township Police said.

The group allegedly broke into an empty, bank-owned Krista Court home around 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Police say Jacan Link, 19, from Piscataway, and Timothy Wittik-Kraft, 22, from Somerset, are accused of using a demolition bar and hammers to damage the inside of the home. They were accompanied by Hannah Herrmann, 18, from High Bridge, and Danielle Tranquilli, 18, from Hampton, police said.

Police said it was unclear why the two men allegedly damaged the home.

Link and Wittik-Kraft were issued criminal complaints for criminal mischief, and Herrmann and Tranquilli were charged with trespassing. All four were released with an upcoming court date in municipal court.
