ACOUSTIC GUITAR CONCERT at the Washington Twp. Public Library, 37 E. Springtown Rd., Long Valley, NJ 07853 on THURSDAY, APRIL 14, 2011 AT 7:00 P.M.
Peter Biedermann is a guitarist that has been composing and performing for over 35 years and will appearing at the Washington Twp. Library for the third year in a row. While his music covers a number of genres in various disciplines, the music you will hear on the evening of Thursday, April 14th will be entirely original instrumental music performed on 6, 8 & 12 string guitars in unique tunings combined with various electronic processing devices. The music remains uniquely indefinable, yet familiar at the same time. The architecture of the music is rhythmic and melodic and contains a combination of structure and improvisation that embraces the influences of the last 50 years of years of (too many to be accounted for) solo acoustic guitar visionaries. Fans of the likes of Bert Jansch, John Martyn, Ralph Towner, Leo Kottke and Michael Hedges will enjoy PB's music. As the program is always interactive with the audience, PB will spend as much time as necessary to demystify the mystery of instrumental music.
