Former Long Valley Church Youth Group Leader Sentenced To Jail In Sex Abuse Case

The victim's mother reportedly said the youth group leader was "the first person to introduce my daughter to evil."

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A former church youth group leader living in Long Valley was sentenced on charges he sexually abused a 15-year-old girl, according to reports.

Christopher Remaly plead guilty to sexual assault charges for having a sexual relationship with a girl in 2014. He was sentenced to seven years in prison, and will have to register as a sex offender, nj.com reported.

His victim, now a mother of two, was from a single-parent household and viewed Remaly as a father figure, the Daily Record reported. The victim's mother said Remaly was "the first person to introduce my daughter to evil."
