Garden Club Eyes Mid-September Competition
District IV groups to compete in various categories.

“In the Spirit of the Garden” is the theme of the District IV Garden Club of NJ Flower Show, to be held at Willowwood Arboretum and Bamboo Brook Education Center in Chester Township, according to a press release from the Garden Club of Long Valley.
The free show will cover two days; Friday, Sept. 16 from 1 to 4 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Members of The Garden Club of Long Valley have volunteered for many positions for the Flower Show, the press release said. The chairmen from their club are: Alice Dickson, Horticulture; Robin Morley, Horticulture Classifications; Jamie Gartelmann, Horticulture Placement; and Terry Holman, Staging.

The sixteen garden clubs of District IV from Hunterdon, Morris, Warren and Somerset Counties are thrilled to present this inspiring Flower Show to the public and fellow garden club members, the club said.
Design entries will be showcased in the 1780's stone barn at Willowwood and horticulture entries will be shown at beautifully restored Bamboo Brook with educational exhibits featuring terrariums and community gardens, the club said.

A District IV Design trophy along with a District IV Challenge trophy for horticulture of peppers will be awarded. Youth ribbons will be abundant.
