Get Out and Dance the Night Away

In need of a fun night out, away from the kids?

Why not consider an introductory dance lesson at Classic Ballroom Dance Studio in Hackettstown? Instructors invite people to “share in the magic that is dance” with fifteen different dance classes, including tango, hustle, foxtrot, quickstep, cha-cha, and salsa.

The studio also offers various exercise classes as well as an open dance social every Saturday evening from 8 to 10:30 p.m. The classes are said to promote confidence, creativity, and health while also giving moms, dads, or anyone a place to let loose for a couple hours.

Studio manager Lisa Braunstein suggests that new members come in for a free 20-minute mini session to try out the different dances and recommends an introductory program, which includes four private lessons for $199.  

“While beginners can feel pressured and rushed at larger chain dance studios, we pride ourselves on allowing new customers to take it slow and try out the different dances,” says Braunstein. “The whole thing about dance is that it’s a great activity and gives people the opportunity to exercise and be social. It has to remain fun all the time.”

The studio is also involved in local, regional, and national dance competitions for regular attendees.

Hours: Weekdays: 11:00 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Dance Socials: Friday: 9 to 11 p.m. for members, Saturday 8 to 10:30 p.m. open to all.
