Heart Attack Victim Saved By Family, WTPD

The man's family began CPR before police could arrive.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Long Valley man's life was saved during a heart attack thanks to quick thinking family members and police officers, the Washington Township police said in a release.

Just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a Washington Twp. home for a man having a heart attack. The 54-year-old man's family had already begun CPR on him; he was not breathing or responsive.

Officers took over CPR and gave the man three shocks from an AED. The man regained a pulse, and was taken to Morristown Medical Center by ambulance.
