LONG VALLEY, NJ— A new study has found that Morris County is the second healthiest in New Jersey, behind only Hunterdon.
County Health Ratings, run by the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, took a look at a number of indicators of health across the state.
Access to healthcare helped pushed Morris to the top of the rankings. Only 8 percent of county residents are uninsured, compared to 13 percent statewide. There's also more choice; Morris has an above average amount of mental health providers, primary care doctors and dentists.
