Hunt for Easter Eggs and Hear Some Blues This Weekend

Patch highlights five local weekend events.

As the week comes to a close and you begin to make your weekend plans, consider some of these Long Valley events. If summer is on your mind, stop by a book sale for some beach reads and get in shape by running the trails at Schooley’s Mountain Park. Also find out what Blues Rock sounds like at the Brew Pub. You Need to Hear Blues Rock: As the band Blue Tip makes clear, “blues rock is alive and well in Jersey.” Get to the Brew Pub and rock out on Friday, April 15 at 10 p.m. If you are a fan of Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Walter Trout, Allman Bros, Gary Moore, and Johnny Lang, then this is the band for you!

You Need to Hit the Trails: NJ Trail Series is a series of trail running events throughout Northwestern NJ. The second Spring Series race includes distances of 5 miles, 10 miles, and 15 miles at the on April 16, 2011 from 8 a.m. to noon.
