Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: Kathleen “Chelle” Holman is a talented musician, actress, Girl Scout, Junior Garden Club member, and volunteer.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness (what made him/her successful?):
Chelle was named first chair of WMC High School’s Marching Band her freshman and sophomore years as a pianist and flutist. She also auditioned for regionals and took 10th chair and was in the "pit" orchestra for the musical Guys and Dolls. “Chelle has such a drive to become the best in her music and everything she does,” said nominator Denise Niessing, “she is totally self-driven. Chelle plans to major in music in college and aspires to be a music instructor."

Not just a talented musician, Chelle also acted in "Alice and Wonderland" in 8th grade and was the head stager for the WMC musical "Grease" last year. Chelle has also been a Girl Scout with Troop 625 since she was a Daisy and has earned her bronze and silver awards. She has also earned several Presidential Volunteer Awards for her volunteer hours. Chelle is currently leading up a team for the annual "Relay for Life" to raise money for cancer research and wants to start a charity fundraiser next year to raise money for the food pantry.

Chelle was also a Sprouts of Long Valley leader for two years and part of the Jr. Garden Club, competing in flower shows for six years and winning numerous top exhibitor awards for the GCNJ State Flower Shows, District Flower Shows and Local Shows.

For displaying persistence, generosity, and for being an overall renaissance woman, Patch is pleased to announce Chelle as this week’s Whiz Kid.
