Learn About Flood Dangers During Awareness Week
National Weather Services offers tips on its website.

Morris and Somerset counties were pummeled by nature’s fury in 2011, with floods coming from , remnants of Tropical Storm Lee and flash flooding, leaving residents without answers–and sometimes homes.
On Monday, March 12, the annual National Weather Service Flood Safety Awareness Week will begin. The effort is intended to highlight some of the many ways floods can occur, the hazards associated with floods, and what can be done to save lives and property, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) website.
