Long Valley Announces Spring Recreation Tennis Clinic

Registration for the Washington Township Spring Recreation Tennis Clinic closes on April 8, with online payment options available.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Washington Township is offering a Recreation Tennis Clinic for young athletes this spring. The program is scheduled from April 12 through May 24, at the Rock Spring Park Tennis Courts. The clinic will take place on Sunday mornings and is open to children aged 4 to 14.

The clinic aims to provide skill-building and engagement for participants over six weeks. Brandon Kornbluh, known as Coach K from Long Valley, will lead the sessions. Coach Kornbluh holds USPTR certification and has more than 20 years of experience in tennis instruction.

The morning sessions are divided by age group. Children aged 4 to 6 will attend from 8:45 to 9:25 am. The 7- to 10-year-old group will follow from 9:30 to 10:20 am. Older players, aged 11 to 14, will participate from 10:30 to 11:30 am, focusing on stroke development and confidence.

The program is designed for both new players and those interested in competitive tennis. Each week combines physical activity, learning, and enjoyment. Interested families are encouraged to register promptly as spots tend to fill quickly. The final day for registration is April 8.
