Long Valley Dad Owed $16K In Child Support: Police

The man was arrested during a traffic stop, police said.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Washington man was arrested on a warrant for failing to pay $16,000 in child support, Washington Township Police said.

Joel McManus, 49, was pulled over Saturday afternoon when a random license plate check showed an active warrant, police said. The warrant was for $16,011 in owed child support, issued by the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department, police said.

McManus was arrested on the warrant and ticketed for driving while suspended. He was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility to be picked up by the Gloucester County Sheriff Department.
