Long Valley Fire Remains Under Investigation

LONG VALLEY, NJ — The Morris County Prosecutor's Office is continuing their investigation into the cause of an early-morning fire in Long Valley on Friday, a spokesman said.

Because the fire remains under investigation, authorities cannot release any updates, Peter DiGennaro said. No one was injured, Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said on Friday.

The fire broke out around 3 a.m. on Friday at 197 East Mill Road. The residential home was totally destroyed in the blaze.

Washington Township Police Department, the Washington Township Fire Companies, the Washington Township Office of Emergency Management, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Fire/Environmental Unit all responded to the fire.
