Long Valley Sets Up Internet Safe Deal Zone
It's outside of police headquarters, to scare off scammers.
LONG VALLEY, NJ— Washington Township has established a new "Safe Deal Zone" to make transactions set up online.
The spot outside of Police Headquarters is marked with two large yellow signs with Safe Deal Zone printed on them.
Residents can use the zone to make transactions set up over the internet safely. Police can't guarantee police will always be in the building but hope that meeting at a police department "will help eliminate possible scams," police said on Facebook.
