Long Valley Teen Raises $1K for Special Olympics With Fencing Clinic

Lana Prieur started her summer vacation by helping others.

Most high school students are spending their first few weeks of summer funning and sunning, but one Long Valley teen is doing what she can to help others.

On June 28, Lana Prieur, who just finished her freshman year at West Morris Central High School, spent an entire day presenting and instructing introductory fencing to interested athletes between age six and 51 to benefit the Special Olympics of New Jersey.

The event was held at Manchen Academy of Fencing where Prieur instructed basics of fencing throughout the day.
