Long Valley Traffic Stop Ends In ICE Arrest

LONG VALLEY, NJ — A Monday afternoon traffic stop ended in the ICE arrest of the driver, Washington Township Police said.

A car traveling on Route 46 was pulled over around 1 p.m. on Monday for a traffic stop, police said. The driver, Fabiano Moreira-Gomes, 31, from Newark, had an active ICE warrant for failing to report for deportation, police said. He was arrested and taken to township police headquarters before being turned over to Newark ICE agents.

The passenger, Sergio Paramo-Remache, 31, from Newark, also had an active warrant for his arrest, police said. Paramo-Remache was unable to post bail for a $500 criminal warrant out of Secaucus, and was arrested, police said. He was taken to township police headquarters before being turned over to Secaucus police.
