Long Valley Woman Saved By Narcan After Overdose, Car Crash: Police
Hackettstown Police say they found heroin and Xanax in her possession.

LONG VALLEY, NJ— A Long Valley woman who crashed her car during an overdose was revived using Narcan, Hackettstown Police said.
Traci Kennedy, 28, of Washington Township, crashed into a pole at the intersection of Route 46 and Route 182, police said.
A civilian was performing CPR on Kennedy, who was in the middle of an overdose, when police arrived. Police administered Narcan, an overdose-reversal medication, and used the defibrillator.

Kennedy was taken to Hackettstown Medical Center by the St. Clare's Paramedic Unit for further treatment.
An investigation revealed that Kennedy passed out while driving due to the overdose, which caused her to crash into the light pole.

Police say they found a number of drugs and paraphernalia in Kennedy's possession: 8 wax folds containing suspected heroin, 4 suspected Xanax pills, numerous empty wax folds containing suspected heroin residue, a rolled up dollar bill containing suspected drug residue and a pill grinder containing suspected drug residue.
Kennedy was charged with possession of heroin, possession of Xanax, being under the influence of controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while under the influence, driving while under the influence in a school zone, possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane.
She was released with a pending court appearance.
