Major Roadwork Coming Up In Long Valley
The roadwork starts on the first day of school for high schoolers.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Long Valley, take note: major road construction is set to start the same day high schoolers head back into the classroom.
Construction on Fairmont Road is set to begin Aug. 28 and last through Sept. 15. Work will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and the road will be milled and paved.

During the hours of construction Fairmount Road will be reduced to one lane of travel (Southbound) from the intersection of East Mill Road and East and West Valley Brook Roads. A Detour will be established for all Northbound traffic during this time. A police officer will be stationed at both ends of the construction zones during the construction hours. At the conclusion of the workday the roadway will be re-opened to all vehicle traffic.
Drivers can expect significant congestion and should plan an alternate route.
