Man Charged In Connection With Long Valley Car Crash
A Hackettstown man was arrested and charged this week in connection with an overturned car crash that occurred in the early evening of Monday, July 11, according to the Washington Township Police Department. The 22-year-old, who has not been identified publicly, was issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to keep right.

The Long Valley Food Pantry is experiencing an increase in need as food prices rise due to inflation, and the need to relocate to a larger space is becoming more pressing. According to Township Committeeman Gregg Forsbrey, the president of the local food pantry requested assistance at a recent Township Committee Meeting, but was told to they needed to first "make an appointment."

By the time closing ceremonies were held this morning at the County College of Morris, nearly 5,000 residents of Morris County and beyond had visited "The Moving Wall" Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The Moving Wall, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., was set up at the County College of Morris in Randolph and is half the size of the one in D.C. It's one of two traveling versions that have navigated the United States since 1984.
