Man Had Active Warrant, Marijuana In Car: Long Valley Police

He was released with court dates.

LONG VALLEY, NJ— Long Valley Police arrested a man who was wanted on a warrant and who they say had marijuana.

Tyler Ross, 21, of Flanders, was pulled over in Washington Township on Dec. 27 after a random plate search showed an expired registration.

After smelling marijuana, the police officer found the drug on Ross. Ross also had an active traffic warrant out of Roxbury Township.

Ross was arrested and taken to Washington Township Police Headquarters. He was charged with possession of marijuana, and motor vehicle complaints for expired registration and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

He was released own his own recognizance for the Roxbury Municipal Court Traffic Warrant and released with a mandatory court appearance in Washington Township Municipal Court.
