A Dover man pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection to the Labor Day 2017 murder.

DOVER, NJ — A Dover man has admitted to the Labor Day 2017 killing of a homeless man, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.

A spokesperson confirmed that Jeysijoran Carnales-Cardona, 28, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection to the stabbing death of Michael Millan, 56, in the woods near the Rockaway-Dover border. Both men were homeless and known to spend time in the area at the time of the killings.

Millan was found stabbed to death with head injuries in the woods behind the Lakeland Company bus depot on Sept. 6, 2017. Carnales-Cardon and Millan knew each other, and had been arguing that weekend over stolen property, the Daily Record reported.
