Morris Co. Woman Who Fed Grandma Antifreeze Pleads Guilty

The Morris County woman admitted to giving her grandmother juice laced with antifreeze in an attempt to poison her, a report said.

SUCCASUNNA, NJ — A Succasunna woman accused of giving her grandmother juice mixed with antifreeze has pled guilty to aggravated assault, the Daily Record reported.

Elise Conroy, 27, was charged with attempted murder for trying to feed her 84-year-old grandmother anti-freeze, Knapp said last August. Conroy bought the anti-freeze with the intention of poisoning her grandmother, and later giving her juice laced with the chemical. She pled guilty to aggravated assault in superior court on Monday.

According to the report, Conroy fed her grandmother the poisoned juice as payback for being treated poorly. The grandmother died of a heart attack earlier this year.
