New LVMS Assistant Principal Appointed by Twp. School Board
Current district math teacher to become administrator effective July 13.

Less than four months after the position was advertised and a replacement was initially sought, the Washington Township Schools Board of Education made its final decision Tuesday night.
Staying within the district, the board approved the hiring of current Long Valley Middle School Math Coach Danielle Schweitzer, who will become the school’s assistant principal effective July 13.
Schweitzer’s salary will be $85,000. The incoming administrator has been part of the district since 2008.

The assistant principal position vacancy came about when the district decided not to extend a contract renewal to Ellyn High, who was hired prior to the 2013-14 school year. She was the lone administrator in the district not to receive a new contract offer for the 2015-16 school year.
Schweitzer will be the sixth assistant principal in the school building over the last eight years.
