North Jersey Man Dies in North Carolina Jet Ski Accident

Man suddenly fell from watercraft Tuesday morning, reports say.

A man from Hunterdon County died when he fell off a jet ski in North Carolina Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

Vincent Kearns, 48, of Milford, was with his brother-in-law in Bogue Inlet riding jet skis when he “plunged” into the water, nj.com said.

A call came in to Coast Guard Sector North Carolina around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and that a man had “collapsed” off his personal watercraft, reported jdnews.com of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Both reports indicated Kearns’ family member went into the water to assist. Kearns was found unconscious by emergency first responders and taken to Carteret General Hospital, jdnews.com reported.

Kearns was wearing his life jacket at the time of the incident, nj.com reported, and the cause of death is yet to be determined.
