Plant Trees and Attend an Easter Celebration this Weekend

Celebrate Earth Day and Easter in style.

With both Earth Day and Easter this weekend, there are some great activities and events in town that the whole family can enjoy.  Celebrate Earth Day by planting trees and helping to clean Long Valley’s sidewalks and parking lots and take advantage of Earth Day promotions at Hoffman’s Supply. Head over to Alstede Farms for a lively Easter Celebration, where the kids will certainly have a fun time searching for eggs and meeting the Easter Bunny. Finish the weekend off with Easter brunch or dinner at the Long Valley Brew Pub or Splash Seafood and Pasta.

You Need to Get Free Stuff: Stop by Hoffman’s Supply on Earth Day, Friday, April 22. They’ll be giving away free tree seedlings to customers while supplies last. They will also be offering a 25 percent discount on any tree or shrub purchased on Earth Day only. For more information, go here.

You need to go on an Easter Egg Hunt: Head over to Alstede Farms this weekend between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23 for an Easter Celebration. Choose between the Cottontail Pass, the Hopalong Pass, and the Jack Rabbit Pass and enjoy an Easter egg hunt, scenic hayride, a picture with the Easter Bunny, a moon bounce, pony rides, baby animals, and more. No reservations needed and it is open to all, but call ahead for pricing and inclement weather closings at 908-879-7189.

You Need to Know about Easter Specials: Who says you need to do any cooking on Easter? Take advantage of Easter specials at Restaurant Village this Sunday, April 24. The Long Valley Brew Pub will be serving brunch between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., which will feature leg of lamb, fresh ham, shrimp, crab legs, and the usual brunch fare. Easter dinner specials start at 4 p.m. To make reservations, call 908-876-1122.
