Police Participate in Wreaths Across America In Long Valley

LONG VALLEY, NJ— Washington Township Police honored fallen soldiers this weekend by participating in Wreaths Across America.

Wreaths Across America is an annual event where wreaths are laid on the graves of soldiers. The main ceremony is at Arlington National Cemetery, and there are over 1,100 local ceremonies in all 50 states.

As the wreath layer places the greens on the grave, they are encouraged to say the fallen soldiers name out loud.
