The Wolfpack competes in one of the toughest cross country conferences in the state, with a number of those schools making it to the Meet of Champions. With most of the top seven runners back this season, and the addition of some very talented sophomores, Central is very optimistic about the 2011 season and believes it can compete against the powerhouse schools like Morris Knolls and Randolph.
Last Season’s Results:
The Wolfpack finished the year with a 1-5 conference record. They placed fourth in the state sectional tournament which enabled them to advance to the group finals.

Look Out For:
Kylene Cochrane (Soph.) – Veteran Coach Jay Herrigel is very excited about Cochrane’s talent. He believes she could be one of the top five runners in Morris County. Last spring, Cochrane finished 10th at the Meet of Champions in the 1600M.

Erin Daly (Sr.) and Kristin Miller (Sr.) – Both Daly and Miller have worked extremely hard in the off season, running more than 40 miles a week and improving their times. Both are in excellent physical shape.
Who They'll Miss:
Bethann Wittig – Wittig, a captain, was a great team leader with a great attitude. She was the organizer and the cheerleader. She consistently finished in the number 3 or 4 spot.
Katelyn Meyler – Even though Myler, a captain, finished in the six or seven spot, her leadership and positive attitude helped gain the respect of her teammates.
Coach’s Take:
“Our biggest challenge is that we have girls who are ready to step up but the question is, will they.” – Coach Herrigel
They Said It:
“I think the team looks really good. I think it looks better than any other year I’ve been on the team. The girls seem really motivated. Everyone has been working really hard over the summer. My goal is to get my time down around 21 minutes.” – Jess Kerpez
“I think we have a pretty good chance of going to groups this year. Everyone is really motivated. My goal is to run under 20 minutes, possibly 19 and a half. This year I just want to keep up with Kylene (Cochrane).” – Daly
