Sleeping Man Assaulted In Apartment: Mount Olive Police

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said.

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — A sleeping man was seriously injured after he was assaulted inside a Mount Olive apartment, police said.

Roger W. Crane, Jr., 23, from Budd Lake, was charged with aggravated assault in the alleged attack. According to police, Crane entered a woman's apartment around 10 p.m. on July 14, where he repeatedly punched a 34-year-old sleeping Netcong man in the face.

The woman took the man to the hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition with significant injuries, police said.

Crane was arrested and charged on July 16. He was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility with an upcoming court hearing.
